The accused Stringer, Lewis, Shaw, and Jenke, rated enlisted men of the submarine service, United States Navy, were charged with conspiracy to sell military property, the sale of military property, and the larceny of military property, in violation of Articles 81, 108, and 121 respectively, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC §§ 675, 702, 715. At separate trials by general court-martial, the several accused entered pleas of not guilty, but were found guilty — under various specifications of the charges — and sentenced.
