A controversy having existed for some time between the Wailuku Sugar Company, whose sugar plantation is situated in the district of Wailuku, Island of Maui, and the holders of parcels of land in that district as to the rights of the respective parties to use the water of the Wailuku river for irrigation, it culminated in a suit which was held before A.
