SCOTT, Justice.

Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of assault in the second degree, Minn.Stat. § 609.222 (1982) (assault with a dangerous weapon). This appeal is both from the judgment of conviction and the order denying postconviction relief. Issues raised on appeal áre (1) the sufficiency of the evidence, (2) the adequacy of defendant’s representation, and (3) the correctness of defendant's sentence. We affirm.
