This action was brought to recover on a promissory note, reading as follows:
"$500.00. June 20, 1911.
"Six months after date I promise to pay to the order of James W. Neal, or bearer, the sum of five hundred dollars ($500) at-, for value received, with interest at six per cent, per annum.
“John G. Neal.”
John G. Neal, the maker of the note, and James W. Neal, the payee of the note, are brothers. Olive M. Neal, the plaintiff, is the wife of James W., the payee. There is no claim in the case that the plaintiff is a bona fide holder; the note having been transferred to her in the fall of 1912, after…
