A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted appellant, pursuant to his conditional guilty pleas, of wrongful use of cocaine, wrongful use of marijuana, wrongful use of methylenedioxyamphetamine (ecstasy), and wrongful use of methamphetamine, in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 912a. The military judge sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement and partial forfeitures for 12 months, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
