This is a class action brought by a group of retirees from TRW, Inc. against TRW and Jake Schoepler, Secretary of the Board of Administrators of TRW’s Salaried Em ployees Pension Plan (“the plan”) (defendants collectively referred to as “TRW”). The plaintiffs are a certified class composed of former employees of TRW who retired between January 1, 1985 and October 22, 1986, and elected to receive their retirement benefits in the form of a lump sum distribution rather than a life annuity.
