— This is an action for the partition of a tract of land called the San Pablo Ranch, containing l7,938.59 acres. It is situated in what is now Contra Costa County, and was granted by the Mexican government, and afterwards patented by the United States, to the successors of Francisco Maria Castro, who died on the fifth day of November, 1831. The action was commenced.on November 19, 1867, in the district court of the fifteenth judicial district, in and for the city and county of San Francisco, and an interlocutory decree was rendered in that court on July 15, 1878.
