KRAM, District Judge.
Plaintiff Cynthia Rodriguez (“Cynthia”), by her mother and natural guardian, Yomary Rodriguez (“Mrs. Rodriguez”), originally brought this action in New York State Supreme Court, New York County (“state court”), seeking to recover damages for injuries she received prior to and during birth. On October 27, 1992, defendants, Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Pharmaceuticals and Abbott Hospital Products Division (collectively, “Abbott”), foreign corporations, removed the case to this Court on the basis of diversity jurisdiction.
