MEMORANDUM

EDUARDO C. ROBRENO, District Judge.

The issue before the court1 is whether, after a ease has been properly removed from *365the state court on the basis of diversity jurisdiction, the court may allow the permissive joinder of a party which would destroy the court’s diversity jurisdiction and remand the case to state court. The court finds that it may when, as here, it is fair and equitable to do so and when joinder and remand would promote judicial economy.
