The Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) (Gov. Code, § 12900 et seq.) 1 bars discrimination by employers on several enumerated bases. Under section 12926, subdivision (d) (the religious-entity exemption), the term “employer” specifically excludes “a religious association or corporation not organized for private profit.” 2 In McKeon v.
