CRAWFORD, Judge:

Contrary to his pleas, appellant, a chaplain, was convicted at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, of assault and battery (2 specifications), assault with a dangerous weapon (3 specifications), communicating a threat (2 specifications), and kidnapping, in violation of Articles 128 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 928 and 934, respectively.
