Defendant brings forward on appeal three assignments of error.
I: Testimony of impeaching witnesses
First, defendant argues that the trial court erred in admitting the testimony of three rebuttal witnesses. The State called Rickie Creech, defendant’s roommate, who testified that he thought he heard “sex sounds” coming from defendant’s room on the night of the alleged rape. On cross-examination, he was questioned about a statement he had made to police officers shortly after the incident.
