QUINN, Associate Judge.
Appellant brought suit in the United States District Court for false arrest and imprisonment. 1 He asked $500,000 for compensatory and punitive damages, but the latter, in the amount of $250,000, were eliminated by the trial court. No appeal was taken from that ruling. The jury returned a verdict for appellant and awarded compensatory damages in the amount of $10,000. Appellees moved for judgment n. o. v. or, alternatively, a new trial. The court granted the motion for judgment, stating that the evidence adduced at trial was “wholly insufficient to support the verdict.”…
