I. Background
This case 1 arises out of alleged contamination of Plaintiff Nixon-Egli Equipment Co.’s (“Nixon-Egli”) land as a result of grading and filling of the land by the Defendants. The property in question is a parcel in the City of Santa Fe Springs. From about 1920 to the 1960’s, the parcel was one of many oil fields in the City and was used for producing crude oil.
