LEHMAN, Chief Justice.

The primary issue on appeal is whether an insurance agent or broker has a duty to inform a client of its insurer’s insolvency even after the client’s policy expired. The client sued its agent and broker claiming the agent and broker were negligent by failing to inform the client that its insurer was insolvent. The client also alleged that the agent and broker were negligent in procuring the insurance policy with the insurer. The district court granted summary judgment for the agent and broker, finding they had no duty to inform the client of the insurer’s insolvency.…
