In this action for breach of a commercial construction contract, the principal issue is whether *435the trial court, in its evidentiary rulings and its instructions to the jury, assigned proper weight to the terms of three contracts consecutively negotiated by the parties. The appeal arises out of two lawsuits that were consolidated for trial. The first was an action brought by the plaintiffs, John T.
