On February 15, 1966, the defendant filed a statement of compensation in the Superior Court which stated that certain premises belonging to the plaintiffs were included within the area of a redevelopment plan of the defendant and set the amount of compensation to be paid for the premises at $50,000. The plaintiffs are the Connecticut Railway and Lighting Company, owner of the land in question and holder of franchises to serve the New Britain area with electric power, and The Connecticut Light and Power Company, lessee of the land and franchises.
