delivered the opinion of the Court.

Contrary to his pleas, a military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted Appellant of one specification of rape, in violation of Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 920 (2006), and one specification of committing an indecent act with another, in violation of Article 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. § 934 (2006). The adjudged sentence provided for a dishonorable discharge, confinement for five years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to grade E-l.
