GOODRICH, Circuit Judge.

This suit in admiralty was brought by The River Sand Company as libelant to recover for damage sustained by its sand digger, the “Admiral”, when the “Admiral” was struck by one or more drifting barges belonging to the American Barge Line Company, Inc., 1 on February 2, 1939. The “Admiral” was, at the time, anchored in the Ohio River near Follansbee, West Virginia. The respondents are the steamboat “Chickie” and the American.
