OPINION OF THE COURT

De GIULIO, Judge:

Appellant was tried in the Federal Republic of Germany by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial. He was found guilty of distribution of marijuana, use of marijuana, and two specifications of breaking restriction in violation of Articles *711112a and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 912a and 934 (1982) [hereinafter UCMJ].1 He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for six months, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. The convening authority approved the sentence.
