SULLIVAN, Judge:

On June 9,1983, appellant was tried by a military judge sitting alone as a general court-martial at Fuerth, Federal Republic of Germany. Pursuant to his pleas, he was found guilty of one specification of possession of marijuana in the hashish form and two specifications of distribution of the same substance, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 16 months, total forfeitures, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. The convening authority approved the…
