In this lawyer disciplinary proceeding, the Oregon State Bar charged Sean L. Hartfield (the accused) with violating three provisions of the Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC). A trial panel of the Disciplinary Board concluded that the accused had violated RPC 8.4(a)(4), which makes it professional misconduct for a lawyer to “engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice,” dismissed the other two charges, and publicly reprimanded the accused.
