— Marie F. Hampton, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought suit against J. E. Meyer, Nellie E. Meyer, his wife, and John A. Alsdorf and Effa B. Alsdorf, his wife, in the superior court of Pinal county, to recover judgment on a promissory note in favor of plaintiff for the sum of $850, dated December 2d, 1919, and due one year after date, which note, together with a mortgage securing it, of even date therewith, and covering certain real estate described as lot 1, in block 42, of Cotton City, Pinal county, Arizona, was executed by the Meyers and the mortgage was duly recorded December 4th.
