In this lawsuit seeking recovery under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (“CERCLA”), 42 U.S.C. §§ 9601-9675, and on other federal- and state-law claims, the court must decide whether the plaintiff-land purchaser has established the defendant-land seller’s liability under CERCLA and whether some or all of the plaintiffs other claims must be dismissed.
