The controlling question in this case is whether or not the marriage between Yera E. Farrell and John T. Hollingsworth was void or voidable. Upon the making of affidavits required by the marriage law, they procured a license from the county auditor of Pierce county, and were married by a minister of the gospel in 1914, and thereafter lived together as husband and wife, accumulating the property involved in this controversy. He died February 20, 1927, leaving her surviving.
