Ronnie Cochran, employee, was injured on May 21, 1983 while driving a race car at the Mobile International Speedway. Ronnie filed suit in circuit court by and through his wife and next friend, Deborah Cochran, against his employer, Richard Kennedy d/b/a Richard's Garage, claiming compensation and medical benefits under the Alabama Workmen's Compensation Act.
