POSNER, Chief Judge.

This is a suit for damages under the RICO statute. 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961 et seq. The plaintiff, Verna Emery, charges the defendant, American General Finance, a maker of small loans, with engaging in the practice of “loan flipping,” a practice that the plaintiff claims is “racketeering activity” within the meaning of RICO. § 1962(c). To be such, it must involve one or more of the crimes listed in section 1961(1), among which (see § 1961(1)(B)), and the only one alleged by the complaint, is mail fraud, prohibited by 18 U.S.C. § 1341.
