DEADY, District Judge.

Ruth A. Semple, a married woman and citizen of Oregon, brings this action against the defendant, a British corporation, doing business in this state, to recover the possession of the west half of lot No. 8, in Park block No. 1, in the city of Portland; alleging that she is the owner of the same as her separate property, and entitled to the possession thereof, which the defendant wrongfully withholds from her.
