ORDER

HOEVELER, District Judge.

This cause is before the Court on cross motions for summary judgment.

I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiffs Mr. and Mrs. Amore bring this suit for injuries that Mrs. Amore allegedly sustained through her use of an intrauterine copper contraceptive (hereinafter "Cu-7”) manufactured by Defendant G.D. Searle & Company. The Cu-7 is an intrauterine copper contraceptive which is available to women on the prescription of a physician. It is inserted into a woman’s uterus through the vagina and cervix, where it remains until removal by the physician.
