McArthur, J.:

This is a suit to set aside or redeem from conveyance the tract of land described in the complaint.

A number of objections were urged to the sufficiency of the answer, into which0 an examination is deemed necessary.

The complaint alleges that the land in controversy was of the value of twelve thousand dollars on February 15, !870.

The answer denies “ that the said premises were, on the 15th day of February, 1870, worth twelve thousand dollars.” This, it is contended, is not a denial of the allegation in -the complaint, but is an admission that the lands were, on the day…
