This is a civil forfeiture case. 21 U.S.C. § 881(a)(7). Plaintiff United States of America (the government)' seeks the forfeiture of defendant real property, a residence, commonly known as 11869 Westshore Drive, Putnam Township, Livingston County, Michigan on the grounds that it was used to facilitate the unlawful processing and distribution of marijuana. 1 Neal Duprie- and his wife Kathryn Duprie filed claims to the property.
