Reinsurance Association of Minnesota (RAM) brought this action against respondent Dunbar Kapple, Inc., an Illinois corporation, seeking contribution and indemnity for amounts RAM had paid to an injured employee pursuant to RAM’s workers’ compensation liability policy insuring the employer. RAM alleged Dunbar Kapple had negligently designed and manufactured the machinery upon which the employee was injured.
