INTRODUCTION

This is an interlocutory appeal from the trial court’s order denying Appellants Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Surgitek, Inc., Medical Engineering Corporation, CBI Medical, Inc., and Natural Y/Aesthetech’s (“Defendants”) 2 motions to transfer venue and motions to strike joinders and interventions. We are asked to decide whether breast implants are consumer goods under the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code and whether the joining plaintiffs 3 have established an essential need to try their claims in Wichita County.
