BORDEN, J.
The defendant, Allstate Insurance Company, appeals1 from the judgment of the trial court in favor of the plaintiffs, William Northrop and Cleo Northrop, in their action for the balance due under their homeowners’ insurance policy covering their dwelling. The defendant claims that the trial court improperly awarded the plaintiffs the withheld depreciation portion of their fire insurance coverage and prejudgment interest on that amount.
