To accord with a concession made by plaintiff’s attorney as to the sum due the plaintiff, the court reduced the amount specified in the general verdict from $6,635.55 to $6,283.51. Notwithstanding that this reduction is in favor of defendant Mack, he objects most strenuously to the action of the court in amending the verdict. The court’s action was clearly within the compass of the law.
