This is one of five cases in which a claim for Workers’ Compensation benefits is made because of a mental condition allegedly arising out of claimant’s employment. 44 Or App 520, 605 P2d 1391 (1980).

The plaintiff is a male, age 55, who was working as a vocational counselor for the State of Oregon. Because of the conduct of his supervisor, including his methods of supervision, claimant contends he suffered a "personality disorder of the passive-aggressive type” which caused him to be unable to work for a period of about seven months.
