This is a suit for injunction and damages on account of alleged infringement by the defendant of a musical composition by the plaintiff. 17 U.S.C.A. § 25.

The defendant, which is a New York corporation, has appeared specially by counsel and has moved to quash the service of process upon it on the ground that it is not now, and was not at the time of the service, present and doing business within the State of Maryland as contemplated by the Maryland Corporation Law (Maryland Code, Article 23, Sec. 120), requiring every foreign corporation doing business within…
