This action by the United States against the executors of the estate of James M. Coppola, Sr. seeks to recover unpaid estate taxes. On November 22, 1994, after a two-day bench trial, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Jack B. Weinstein, Judge) entered judgment for the United States, holding defendant-appellant James M.
