Ronald A. Katz (“Katz”) is the inventor in a large body of patents dealing with telephonic interactive voice applications. The plaintiffs, Ronald A. Katz Technology Licencing, L.P. and MCI Telecommunications Corporation, filed this patent infringement suit against AT & T Corporation, AT & T Universal Card Services Corporation, and AT & T American Tran-stech, Inc., alleging that the defendants are infringing a number of Katz’s patents.
