ORDER

HAMILTON, District Judge.

This lawsuit arises out of a tragic automobile accident which occurred in the early morning hours of May 31, 1981, on Platt Springs Road in Lexington County, South Carolina. The plaintiff, Patsy D. Shirey, was driving a 1971 surplus postal jeep, an American Motors DJ-5B which she had purchased from the United States Postal Service on August 6, 1979, when she encountered an unexpected obstacle in the roadway.
