WIENER, J.
Sixteen-year-old Andrew Michael Duran participated in two gang-related killings, was certified as an adult. (Welf. & Inst. Code, § 707) and entered a negotiated guilty plea to one count of second degree murder. (Pen. Code, §§ 187, 189.) Before sentencing Duran to prison the court remanded him to the California Youth Authority (YA) for a diagnostic study. (Welf. & Inst. Code, § 707.2.)
