Plaintiff Jaswinder Singh (hereinafter, “Plaintiff’) filed this action against Defendant Uber Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter, “Defendant” or “Uber”), alleging that Defendant (i) misclassified him and other similarly situated New Jersey Uber drivers as independent contractors, rather than employees; (ii) failed to pay overtime compensation; and (iii) required drivers to pay for significant business expenses that were incurred for the benefit of Defendant.
