Claimants John M. Johnston, Mab Johnston, and Mary E. Butcher (hereafter “claimants”) made a claim for the payment of a fire loss under a policy issued by defendant (respondent) Security Insurance Company of Hartford (hereafter “respondent”).. Differences arose as to the amount payable and the parties resorted to arbitration for resolution of their dispute pursuant to terms of the policy. Respondent selected Jairas H.
