OPINION OF THE COURT

BAD AMI, Judge:

Pursuant to his pleas, appellant was convicted by a military judge sitting as a special court-martial of two specifications of absence without leave from 13 June 1983 to 5 July 1983, and from 6 July 1983 until 18 July 1983, in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 886 (1976). He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for three months, forfeiture of $380 pay per month for three months, and reduction to the grade of Private E-l.
