The defendant, Adrian C. Poffenb-erger, appeals from the judgment of the trial court in favor of the plaintiff, ProBuild East, LLC. The defendant claims that the court improperly determined that (1) the plaintiffs mechanic’s lien was valid in accordance with General Statutes § 49-34, (2) alienable fund existed where the general contractor was paid the contract price in full and (3) a lienable fund existed where the contract between the defendant and the general contractor did not comply with the Home Improvement Act (act), General Statutes § 20-418 et seq.
