This is an appeal by N. H. Ruby, hereinafter called plaintiff, from a judgment in favor of United Sugar Companies, S. A., a corporation, hereinafter called defendant. The undisputed facts are as follows:

On April 21, 1932, defendant was a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of Mexico, with its principal place of business at Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Republic of Mexico. It was the owner of a large amount of farming lands and engaged primarily in the business of producing sugar.
