This action was instituted in the district court of Ottawa county by the Grand River Dam Authority, a public corporation, hereinafter referred to as plaintiff, against E. C. Thompson and L. Blanche Thompson, hereinafter referred to as defendants, wherein plaintiff sought to condemn certain real property owned by defendants. Russell Doss, county treasurer of Ottawa county, was also made a party defendant on the ground that there were certain unpaid taxes upon the property.
