In a negligence action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendant appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Roncallo, J.), entered June 6, 1989, which set aside a jury verdict in her favor and granted the plaintiff a new trial.

Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, the jury verdict is reinstated, and the matter is remitted to the Supreme Court, Nassau County, for entry of an appropriate judgment in favor of the defendant.
