This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the defendants. The defendant Jacqueline Maheu, hereinafter called the operator, was driving an automobile owned by the defendant Marion Jonah, hereinafter called the owner. The complaint alleges that the operator was driving “within the scope of her authority to do so as servant, agent or employee” of the owner.
