Appellant stands convicted of 'issuing “bad checks,” in violation of Article 123a, Uniform Code of Military-Justice, 10 USC § 923a. Without comment, defense counsel at trial requested there be appended to the record, as an appellate exhibit, a transcript of remarks by the staff judge advocate to the court members in the presence of the law officer, trial counsel, and the accused and his counsel just “prior to convening” the court-martial.
